Jessica Nuzzi, LMHC | Anxiety & Eating Disorder Therapist in Long Island, NY
Hi There! I’m Jessica Nuzzi, Licensed Psychotherapist and founder of Embodied Path, Mental Health Counseling, PLLC. Embodied Path currently serves clients virtually throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County, and all of New York State.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults who struggle with various types of mental health issues and are looking for a space to feel heard, validated, and seen.
I specialize in treatment for teens and adults navigating anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depressive disorders, and trauma. These disorders are often exacerbated by perfectionism, lacking assertiveness and having people-pleasing tendencies. Many of my clients also present with ADHD, OCD, and relationship issues.
I do not believe there should be a “cookie-cutter” approach to therapy. Instead, I utilize an eclectic method that incorporates a range of evidence-based modalities, including somatic therapy, EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs.
I approach our sessions from both clinical expertise and the personal experience of having navigated the challenges of anxiety, perfectionism and recovery from an eating disorder. This deeply informs my ability to both treat and resonate with clients through compassion, empathy and deep care.
Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel supported, and explore meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable to you. You don’t have to perform or have the answers.
Fun Facts: When I’m not sitting in the therapist chair, you can find me walking my dog with my husband, hiking, or practicing yoga.
